Assignment #7

In assignment # 7 we had to read about some of the Canadians that have made a difference in our world or accomplished something fascinating. We had to answer some questions about what we learned and what we liked about learning about these people.

4a.) Which category of Canadian Personalities interested you the most? Did you like the "we inspired", "we founded", "we fought", "we built" or "we governed" section the best? Why?

a.) There was other great choices but I choose "we inspired" because there was a lot of interesting information. They did great things that helped us today.

b.) Which personality interested you the most? Why? Find an image of him or her to embed it.

b.)The person that I found most interesting was Peter Pitseolak. I choose him because he is a very creative Inuit photographer. He also turned his creative energy to painting, sculpting and the collecting of oral history. He also had a legacy that was a body of work illustrating, from an Inuit perspective, northern life at the intersection of past and present.

c.) In your post, suggest three more influential Canadian personalities that could be added to this site. Why did you choose these people? Which categories would they fit into?

c.)The three people I thought of were terry fox and Jackrabbit Johannsen and also Celine Dion
I think all of these influential people fit in the category "we inspire". Terry Fox was a very determined person who wanted to find a cure for cancer and ran across the world with an amputated leg but he would not give up no matter what. Jackrabbit Johannsen stands for freedom, the love of nature and physical health. Johannsen was literally raised on skis. After
suffering bankruptcy during the Depression, he translated his hobby into a business
and way of life. Celine Dion is a great singer but she also helped the needy kids like the disordered and children with disabilities.

For more information on these three great inspirational people go to these websites:

5. I voted on Samuel De Champlain because he was a great explorer who found new France which is known as Canada today.

6. I got matched up with Pierre Elliot Trudeau
7.) i was most like Pierre Elliot Trudeau and Emily Carr. Things that i had in common with these people are that Pierre and i both like human rights,we also both respect people and people with their freedoms. Things that i have in common with Emily Carr are born in the fall and she has a school named after her.

8.they will remember me for being a great vet. I will help all animals. Do great things to help make animals well, feel welcomed and useful for the environment.

Assignment #5

When Canadian settlers came to Canada they called it New France. How the first settlers survived the cold was they would hunt amimal for food so they wouldn't stare to death. They also know how to grow crops in the summer. They would also build a fire so it would warm them up.They use skin from animals for good use, for example tents, clothes, blankets, pillows. They use bones for tools and how the cook is with animal oil. They use all the parts of the animals because they don't want it to go to waste.

I'm not sure how my family survive the cold but i guess they just got use to the fact that is it is cold in canada. I'm pretty sure most people can survive the cold if you dress warm and be prepared for winter.

Assignment #3

Christopher Moore's blog is amazing. He talks about a lot of interesting facts and information about the past years. I wasn't here for the past years because i was not born yet but there is one thing i do know, that is every year things change like our pollution it increases every year.

In 2109, i think there is still going to have a lot of changes in life. The world probably not be at peace yet because there is a lot of wars going on today. Many things are wrong with the world but sometimes it is good because it brings us here today, but sometimes bad for the environment. In the near future there will be different things made and discovered. From time to time we should think back about the past years about who found Canada and the first nations because they are the reason why we are here living today, but sometimes if you think too much you will also get confused so please don't think too hard. In a hundred years from now there might be things that will happen, that you can't possibly imagine. Keep in mind our world is not perfect every year or any year. The year 2109 is many many years from now so you will never know what is going to happen till then.
